For English Majors Only: Application Documents

Applications sent to the DAAD will not be forwarded to the respective course/university. They become property of the DAAD and will NOT be returned. The applicant has no right to claim for reimbursement.

Applications sent via e-mail to the DAAD cannot be considered either during the selection
process.

All documents - including the DAAD application - have to be sent by mail to the following address:

 Only originals or certified true copies are accepted. Please do not staple your documents.

  • Bachelor of Science certificate - original or certified copy, preliminary is accepted
  • Transcript of records - original or certified copy, preliminary is accepted

  • Proof of sufficient English language proficiency - level B2 - original or certified copy. Proof of sufficient English language proficiency is not necessary for those who have completed bilingual classes at an English-speaking institution for at least six months, provided that this was not longer than five years prior to the time of application/subject change

    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) with a result of 78 point
    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a result of 6.0
    • Cambridge English First (FCE)
    • The CertiLingua Label of Excellence

  • Letter of motivation
  • Two (2) letters of reference - original or certified copy (can be sent by the referees directly)

 Required only if applying for a DAAD scholarship:

  • DAAD application form
  • Proof of two years of professional experience in a horticulture-related area
  • Your bachelor's degree must not be older than six years

Application deadlines

For self-financing students:

  • 31st May 2018 for the October 2018 intake
  • 31st May 2019 for the October 2019 intake


For students applying for a DAAD scholarship:

  • 1st October 2018 for the October 2019 intake
  • 1st October 2019 for the October 2020 intake
